Mr. Nazar represents creditors and individuals in bankruptcy, insolvency, foreclosure, restructure and reorganization. He is a former member of the Kansas Governor’s Commission on Tax Equity, the Kansas Racing Commission and the University of Kansas Hospital Authority Board.
Mr. Nazar is a graduate of Boston College and Washburn University law School and has been a member of the Kansas Bar Association since 1978. He has been a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas since 1981 and a Chapter 12 Bankruptcy Trustee since 1986. In addition, Mr. Nazar engages in Chapter 11 representation for debtors and secured creditors. He has an extensive creditors rights practice and has represented receivers and been a receiver in numerous state and federal court cases. More recently Mr. Nazar has been appointed a receiver in both the state and federal court systems. He also represents regional and national banks in Kansas in creditors’ rights actions in state and federal court.
Mr. Nazar is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Bankruptcy for 2001 – 2005, and a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation for 2005 – 2008. He is a former President of the Kansas Bar Foundation for 2014 – 2015 and Kansas Co-Chair of the American Bar Foundation.
